Adam came
to us in July 2008 as a starvation case from Prince George's
County. Due to a lameness originating in his right shoulder,
Adam is not able to be ridden but would be ideal as a
companion. He is still young and frisky, so he'd be best
suited with a more dominant horse that would keep him in his
place. It would be best for Adam to go to a home where a
stall is available in case he needs a break for his
shoulder. Adam ties for feed, is barefoot, good for the vet
and farrier, and requires an intermediate handler. This boy
is loaded with personality. Give him a chance and check him
out!![]() |

Aspen was
recently returned to us from her adoptive home of 6 years.
She is a sweet mare and is looking for her new home. Aspen
is good for the vet and farrier, barefoot, and suitable for
an advanced beginner to intermediate handler. Under saddle,
she has lots of get-up-and-go desite her age! We are still
in the process of evaluating her, but she would be best
suited for an strong intermediate rider.![]() |

Athena is
a gorgeous and gentle giant looking for a home. This girl
loves to be pampered and will stand for you all day if
you'll love on her. She has tied for grooming, but we
typically feed her in a stall or paddock. Athena is good for
the vet and farrier and gets along with the other mares in
her herd, although she is dominant. Due to her size, and the
fact that she knows how big she is, Athena needs a
draft-proof fenceline. She has sidebone in both front legs,
so while she cannot be ridden she'd make an excellent
companion horse for someone looking for a absolutely
gorgeous pasture puff!![]() |

Daredevil
came to us at the end of last year as an emaciation case out
of Prince George's County. He made a very fast and smooth
recovery and is now ready to move on to his new life.
Daredevil is blind in both eyes and the vet thinks that if
he can see anything it is only shadows. We have been
teaching vocal cues to Daredevil since his arrival to make
it easy to lead and handle him. He is good in a stall and
with other horses. Daredevil requires a strong intermediate
handler since he can get easily spooked by things that he
doesn't expect due to his lack of sight. The boy is very
sweet and builds close bonds with the horses and people who
are around him daily. He's a special guy who deserves a life
of leisure from here on out. ![]() |

Diva came
to us in October 2009 along with 18 other horses from
Baltimore City. She is looking for someone
who will give her a quiet and stable home where she can live
out the rest of her days. Due to her extreme sway back, she
cannot be ridden and is looking for a companion-only home.
Diva does not do well with a herd that is constantly
changing, therefore we are requiring that she go to a home
where the herd is smaller and stable. This mare loves her
pampering sessions, ties for feed, and will turn her
shoulder to you in the stall for a good scratch! Can you find it in your heart to take this lovely
girl home?![]() |

came to us in September 2010 from another rescue in
Pennsylvania. She is a very nice mare who loves attention
and LOVES her best friend, Athena (with whom she'd love to
find a home!). Essence is barefoot and is good for the vet
and farrier. Due to behavioral issues under saddle, Essence
is only suitable as a companion horse. Check this sweetie

Jellybean came
to us from Queen Anne's County in April 2011. She made a
smooth recovery and is now finally looking for her forever
home. Jellybean is a very sweet mare who is easy to handle
and enjoys attention. Jellybean suffers from COPD and
requires medication, therefore she is only suitable as a
companion-only horse. She is good with both mares and
geldings, and stands quietly for the vet and farrier. This
beautiful girl deserves a life of leisure with a family of
her own. Ask about her today!![]() |

JUNEBUG
HOEDOWN
|
Hoedown
came to us years ago as a starvation/founder case. He
was adopted to a home as a companion for Junebug. His
adopters took great care of him for many years until
unforseen circumstances forced them to return him, however
they needed to find a home for Junebug as well. Since
Hoedown and Junebug had formed a strong bond over the years
that they had been together, we decided we'd take Junebug as
well and try to find them another home together. Both
ponies have foundered, and cannot go to a home with grass.
They tie for feed, are good for the farrier, and get along
well with other barnyard critters. So if you're
looking to start your own petting zoo of miniature animals,
take a look at these two! JUNEBUG ![]() HOEDOWN ![]() |

Malone
came to us from Queen Anne's County in 2011. She recovered
quickly and is now ready for a new home. Malone is good to
handle and would be suitable for an advanced beginner
handler. She is good with both mares and geldings in the
field and stands quietly for the vet and farrier. Malone has
a deformity in the vertebrae of her neck which keeps her
head in the extended position, therefore he cannot be
ridden. Malone is looking for a forever home as a
companion-only horse. Inquire about her today!![]() |
MAURA |

Maura came
to us from Carroll County on St. Patrick's Day, hence her
Irish name. She ranked at a 1 out of 9 on the Henneke
Scale, had overgrown hooves, teeth in need of floating, and
a severe rainrot along her withers, topline, and rump.
Due to her weak condition, Maura was forced to live in a
sling for three weeks until she was strong enough to lay
down and get back up on her own. She is now fully
recovered and feeling 100% better. Maura ties for feed
and grooming and is good for baths, the vet, and farrier.
She requires an intermediate to advanced handler when taking
her out of her routine, as she can be someone herdbound.
Maura has been experiencing periodic lameness in the hind
end lately that our vet feels may be neurological, therefore
we will be adopting her out as a companion only. Give this gorgeous girl a home. She's been through a
lot and deserves the best.![]() |

Nala arrived from Prince George's
County in the Spring 2010 as a starvation case, ranking at a
1 out of 9 on the Henneke Body Condition Chart. She
was covered in rain rot and her feet were overgrown and
infected with thrush. She made a smooth recovery and
is now ready to find her new home. Under saddle she is
super-quiet and goes well as the w/t/c. Nala requires
an intermediate handler and advanced beginner rider.
Nala is good for the vet, farrier and baths. We look
forward to seeing how this pretty girl turns out once she
gets a little more training under her belt. She has
loads of potential. Give this pretty girl a home!![]() |

Quasar
originally came to us in 1999 as a 6 month old colt. He was
adopted in 2007 but recently returned due to life changes
with his adopter. Now he is looking for his new home to last
forever! Due to an old back injury, Quasar is unable to be
ridden and is looking for a companion-only home. He is good
with other horses and requires a strong intermediate
handler. This cutie loves to strut his stuff and toss his
head when he's excited, which is always amusing to watch.
Quasar ties and is good in a stall. He is barefoot and
sound. Check him out today!![]() |

Vienna
arrived to us in June 2011 as a starvation case out of
Baltimore County. She made a very smooth and speedy
recovery and has turned into a very nice girl. Vienna
ties for feed and grooming, and is good for the vet and
farrier. Once she gets over being slightly herd-bound
she'll be suitable for an advanced beginner handler.
Under saddle, Vienna is well-trained but forward and would
be suitable for an intermediate rider. We have
evaluated her at the walk/trot/canter and over fences.
She is very eager to go and seems to genuinely enjoy being
ridden. She is sound and barefoot and has no health
issues. This mare seems to have many years left in her
and should be a great riding horse for someone looking to
have some fun with an older, been-there-done-that horse! Below: Vienna at PA Horse Expo 2012 ![]() |

Xpedition
came to our farm in May 2010 as a starvation case out of
Garrett County, along with 25 other horses. He made a fast
and smooth recovery and is now looking for his forever home.
Xpedition is blind in his right eye and can therefore be a
bit spooky at times. Once he gets to know you though, and
gains some confidence, he is a sweetheart and will try hard
to please you. Xpedition has been evaluated under saddle and
was found to be extremely nervous and spooky, so considering
his age and history we think he'd be best suited as a
companion only. He's been through a lot in his older years
and deserves a nice, relaxing retiredment!![]() |
